Welcome to my site Guitar Lessons Houston. My name is Alan Darby and I've been teaching guitar lessons in Katy, Richmond, Houston and other surrounding areas for over 25 years, and I've been playing for over 35 years.
A Quick Overview of My Guitar Lessons
I accept guitar students of all levels. If you are a total beginner or an advanced guitarist, it doesn't matter. I'm very patient and I will teach you at your pace.
I'm comfortable teaching any age guitar stu Country Lead Guitar Study 1. This is the first of a series of Country Lead Guitar Studies. The series explores the concept of soloing from chord shapes. Country Lead Guitar Study 1 centers around the E shaped barre chord at the 10th fret. The intervals of the chord are discussed and then a riff is assigned to each interval. The riffs in this study are examples. The student is encouraged to develop each riff or use one of their own. In other words, put their own signature on each riff.
